As we’ve mentioned before, it’s our team who make up the heart of the home and create a difference to our resident’s daily routine, and Brooke is one of them. Bringing her bright personality, stellar organisational skills, and years of care experience, she’s an asset to our team and helps run our home efficiently.
Working at Karingal Green for just under two years, Brooke’s experience began in a residential facility before moving into community care. Starting as a Registered Nurse at Karingal Green, Brooke is responsible for maintaining the quality of care, coordination and supervision of staff on the floor, while also ensuring the home runs as smooth as possible.
Brooke jumped at the opportunity to work in a beautiful new residential facility. After her tour during her initial interview, Brooke thought Karingal Green was a magnificent home and future residents would fall in love with the rooms, activities, and wellness centre. As she had always been drawn to the aged sector, Brooke was excited for this new chapter and to be involved in a modern Perth-based aged care home.
When Brooke is not helping residents and organising staff, she’s putting her organisational skills to good use with the Western Wolved Floorball Club. As the current President, with 50+ members in six teams across three divisions, Brooke plays in the Division 1 women’s team and division three mixed team. It’s something that keeps her very busy and fit when she’s not at work. This year, she had the opportunity to represent WA in the elite women’s squad for the 2022 Singapore Floorball Open Tournament – and we think that’s pretty cool.
When you visit our home, you may not see her, but you can rest assured that the smooth operations is due to Brooke’s hard work and dedication behind the scenes.
We invite you to come and take a tour of our home and see why it’s loved by many residents and family members. You can book a tour below;
