What is the GLA:D program?
GLA:D stands for Good life with Osteoarthrits:Denmark. It is a program that was originally established in Denmark and is an education and exercise program that was developed for people with hip and/or osteoarthritis symptoms. What does it involve?
- It involves an initial assessment to collect key outcome measures and begin the data collection process
- Two 1 hour education sessions.
- 12 bi weekly exercises sessions spread over a course of 6 weeks
- A final session to review outcome measures and complete data entry to contribute towards the GLA:D research project.
Can I participate?
- We encourage all clientele to book in and discuss participating in the GLA:D program
- There are several instances where clients may not be suitable, however this can be determined by the treating healthcare professional. Suitable options for your treatment can be discussed.
- You do not need a referral to participate however, liaising with your general practitioner is recommended.
What does it cost?
$650
- A certain proportion of your program is claimable via your private health if available and with the appropriate coverage.
Payment Options:
- $650 upfront payment
- $330 payment upfront, followed by $330 at the 4-week mark*
- $115 per week over 6-weeks*
*Additional fees for administration costs apply.
Payment option is required to be selected at the commencement of the program.
